Fast or Feast?

by Bint Abdul Khaliq

Címon its time to pray
Magreib time is moving away
Just wait Im almost done
Please just 1 more savory bun

Remember Salaatul Awaabeen
An opportunity for us to strengthen our Deen
Just 6 Rakaats,hardly much pain
And 12 years sawaab to your name
Just wait! My samoosas are running away
Donít forget I was fasting the whole long day!

Some time for ALLAHís words wont you spare
Itís the month of the Quríaan, donít you care!
What!These pies I canít waste!
My favorite I at least have to taste

Some Zikr to enlighten your heart?
A few moments for taleem wont you part?
Not now! A good time it doesnít seem
Iím just about to tuck in to my delicious haleem

The month is over much too fast
And 1 more Ramadhaan has already passed
Wasnít it such a spiritual feat?
Oh Definitely! But atleast now I can eat!

As Salaamu alaikum

'Can you write another one on nihari and lassi please?'

I know whats lassi is but im abit confused about nihari.Anyways also forgot about the sharbat, the falooda, the firni, the bajias, the mince samoosas;the potatoe samoosaas, the chicken samoosas, the cheese and corn samoosas, the daywara, the cutlets, the puri patta, the kebaabs, the bugers, the shawarmas, the pizzas, the FOOD,FOOD and MORE FOOD..Subhanallah..and there are people who dont know where there next iftaar is coming from.

May ALLAH give us victory over our nafs and grant us the ability to follow the sunnah in all facets of our life.May HE protect us from overeating.May HE make us realise the true Spirit of Ramadhaan and make us gain the maximum benefit of this precious month.
Ameen.

We need some hunger management tehory in this thread...
Just remembered what iftar equals to a khaleeji:
HAREEESA!!!!

(and not the sweet stuff Eqyptians apparently call hareesa as well.. copycats).
